Catholic Charities of Odessa

Catholic Charities Odessa was established in 1982 by the five Catholic Churches of Odessa. It was created to be a centralized location to provide Parish Social Ministry those in need. Over the years, Catholic Charities has experienced steady growth in our community as we continue to serve those most in need in Ector County.

Our mission is “To provide immediate assistance and educate to empower for long-term self-sufficiency. ”

The Emergency Services Program provides food, clothing, toiletries, baby essentials, homeless support, school supplies, school uniforms and Christmas gifts. The program also provides funds for prescriptions, medical visits, dental appointments, vision appointments, transportation for work, school, and medical appointments. We assist with utility bills, rent, funding to obtain vital records, identification cards and driver’s licenses.

The Adult Learning Center offers classes in GED Preparation, Adult Basic Education, Computer Education, Financial Literacy, College tutoring, ESL and the Citizenship Test tutoring. Each student receives an individualized curriculum to ensure their success in the program.
