Hope for a Family in Need

Sometimes one unexpected event can turn a family’s life upside down.

Recently, a family came through our doors after their sole provider lost his job. Without a steady income, they were struggling to keep up with their rent and provide enough food for their family. They were doing everything they could, but they needed a little help to get through a difficult season.

Through Catholic Charities Odessa, the family received rental assistance that helped them remain safely in their home. We also registered them for our food pantry so they could receive groceries while they worked toward stability.

Today, their provider is back at work, the family is doing well, and they are moving forward with renewed hope.

This is what can happen when a community comes together. One agency or one person cannot meet every need alone. It takes donors, churches, businesses, volunteers, and community partners working together to support the many individuals and families who walk through our doors.

Every gift, prayer, food donation, volunteer hour, and partnership makes a difference. Together, we can offer families more than temporary assistance. We can remind them that they are not alone and help them find the hope and stability they need to move forward.

If you would like to help us continue this work, please consider making a donation, volunteering, hosting a food drive, or sharing our mission with others.

Together, we can continue to be people of faith helping people in need.
